Travice Obas Travice Obas is an Assistant Professor of Communication at Georgia Highlands College. Although teaching college students the “wonderful world of Public Speaking” is her primary focus, she also has a passion for Theatre. She has been involved in plays and productions since the 5th grade, everything from singing, acting, and stage crew. Her minor in college was Theatre/Drama, where she actively participated in college-produced plays, as well as co-directing shows for Speech/Drama summer camps for high school teenagers. From 2002 to 2003, she served as Drama Director for her church, and was responsible for church skits, as well as the Easter Production. In the spring of 2004, she auditioned for the first time at TLAC, and landed the role of Lady Bracknell in the “The Importance of Being Earnest”. She ended 2004 with a role in “Little Women – The Musical”. In 2005, with the encouragement of Ms. Grooms, Travice directed her first children’s show, the classic “A Little Princess”. Also in 2005, she had the opportunity to fulfill one of her life-long dreams, which was to direct her favorite childhood classic “Anne of Green Gables”. In 2006, Travice directed her first adult show, the musical comedy “ She Loves Me”, and in 2007, she plans to co-direct the musical, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”.
